Apparaat is an Antwerp-based threesome who are clearly inspired by the electronic sounds of the 80s, but manage to provide a contemporary feel by writing their own songs with pulsating beats and atmospheric basslines that don't leave a lot of room to breathe. The lyrics deal with light-hearted matters, like alienation, impossible relationships and existential emptiness on a crowded planet, which always results in entertaining live shows.
Their first EP, which they conveniently named 'Apparaat', was released in 2019, but the band are currently working on new songs.
